Located in the heart of horse country- Kyalami, Johannesburg, Fourways Equine Clinic was established in 1986 and is an internationally renowned and respected equine veterinary practice.
Fourways Equine Clinic aims to offer professional, efficient and compassionate service to our clients and their horses. We are one of the largest equine practices in South Africa, employing leading veterinary professionals who provide first opinion, emergency and referral services.

We offer a full-service equine hospital as a referral centre for horses requiring specialised medical and surgical care. We also provide emergency care, preventative care, general reproduction, diagnostic imaging, medical care and treatment of your horse at your stable.

History
The Practice was originally known as Fourways Veterinary Hospital, which was started by Dr George Frost in 1974. In 1986, Dr Angelo Nichas purchased the Equine side of the business from George and called it Fourways Equine Clinic.
Dr Alex Niven then joined the practice and in September 1989, Dr Henry "Crocky" Du Preez joined. In January 1990 Dr Terry Casey joined the practice after completing his National Service having qualified in 1987 from Onderstepoort.
In 1994, Alex Niven sold his share, and thus the partnership of Dr Angelo Nichas, Dr "Crocky" Du Preez and Dr Terry Casey was formed.
In 1998, Dr Angelo Nichas retired from the practice, and Fourways Equine Clinic moved from the office in Fourways to Equicare in Bluehills, Kyalami.
